COMANO MOUNTAIN RUNNERS is many things: a bear, an eagle, a chamois, life, emotions,… but also firewood. CMR wants to be a flame contributing to a big, beautiful fire. A fire that aims to warm people’s hearts just like bonfires in summer and cosy fireplaces in winter. A fire that aims to give light to an entire valley and help its inhabitants changing and growing together with new ideas and projects for their beloved territory.
You can start getting ready because together we will run towards new goals, giving a new life to our spectacular picks. The COMANO MOUNTAIN RUNNER is an association that was born in February 2016 to organize two trail running races: the Valandro Vertical Race (VVR) and the Comano Ursus Extreme Trail (CUET), which took place in summer 2016.
In 2017, three races have been organized: the second edition of the VVR and the CUET and the new and beautiful SkyGhez. Three different races for all trail running lovers. At the heart of the organization is a group of 10 young people who love running and the valley where they grew up. The association aims to promote the Giudicarie Valleys through outdoor activities and trail running races.
It is not a coincidence that the three races pass through two of the most beautiful villages of Italy (Rango and San Lorenzo in Banale) and that participants will receive a selection of delicious local products as race gadgets.
